Do you frequently need to arrange meetings with multiple people? If so, Google just released a cool feature in Calendar called Suggested Times. This feature eliminates the back-and-forth emails typically required to coordinate meetings and gives you a helpful graphical representation of open times on one's calendar. This link includes Google's documentation.

What is Suggested Times?

When you create a calendar event and add your colleagues as guests, Google now uses Gemini to analyze everyone’s availability. Instead of you manually hunting for an open slot, the “Suggested times” link (located right under the guest list) provides a curated list of times when every participant is free.

Why This Is Helpful:

  • Instant Conflict Resolution: It automatically accounts for working hours, time zones, and existing conflicts. If a group of participants is unavailable during a certain time, those hours are filtered out immediately.

  • One-Click Rescheduling: If you’re the organizer and several people decline your invite, a new banner will appear at the top of the event. With one click, you can reschedule the meeting to the next best time that works for everyone.

  • Automated "Smart" Suggestions: Google will quickly provide the best times for you to meet.

How to Use It:

  1. Open Google Calendar and click Create << Event.

  2. Add your Guests

  3. Click Suggested times under the guest list.

  4. Select the best slot from the list and hit Save.

Hopefully this will save effort in finding the best time to arrange a group meeting.
