We’re happy to announce that we have opened up scheduling times – starting on Wednesday, September 10 – for setting up your smart devices on our Pomfret IOTDev (Internet of Things devices) WiFi network!
Our meetings will be through Google Meet and should take no more than 10 minutes if you come prepared and know where to find the MAC address for your device.
? Smart TVs and Other (non-Gaming) Devices ?
Please note that we are not supporting smart lights, smart fans, or other non-education related devices this year.
Please visit this scheduling page and select a time slot. If you have trouble finding the MAC address, you may need to book a follow-up in-person "hardware consultation" appointment during our regular hours.
? Gaming Devices - Juniors and Seniors ?
Step1: Ask your advisor for permission; ask them to send their approval in an email to techsupport@pomfret.org (GChats sent to this account will not reach us!)
Step 2: Schedule an appointment with Ms. de Ruiter using this scheduling page
Step 3: Prepare for your (virtual) appointment by having your device connected and know how/where to find the MAC address for your device.
? Gaming Devices - Freshmen and Sophomores ?
Freshmen and sophomores cannot have gaming systems in dorm rooms, but they may be used in common areas with dorm head approval.
Step 1: Ask your dorm head for permission; ask them to send their approval in an email to techsupport@pomfret.org
Step 2: Schedule an appointment with Ms. de Ruiter using this scheduling page
