Your Pomfret Google account gives you significant storage space at no additional cost. You can access your personal drive and any shared drive directly from the Chrome web browser. Users can also install the Google Drive Desktop Application for even more convenient field storage that can be accessed even when you do not have an internet connection. Are you flying on Southwest Airlines with their poor internet service, but you still have work to do? The desktop application allows you to still access your files and then once you are on a reliable connection again, it will automatically sync them to the cloud application. We strongly recommend that all of your important data is saved in Google Drive and we recommend that you also install the desktop application. Remember that if something happens to your laptop and it has to go out for repair, we can not guarantee that it will come back with all of your original data. With Google Drive it is always backed up.

The desktop application can be installed from the Self Service application that we push out to all users. From the finder, type Self Service or look for the app in your dock. You can also install the application from this link. Installation instructions are included and are very straight forward.
