HOW IT WORKS

Print jobs are sent to a virtual color or monochrome printer and then managed via Papercut. Print jobs can be retrieved from any printer on campus. The only exception is that you will not be able to retrieve a print job sent to "color" from a monochrome printer. To keep printing costs down, please select black and white print jobs whenever possible. 


Printer jobs can be retrieved from any printer by tapping your Pomfret Card in the card reader area. The very first time you print on campus you will need to associate your card by entering your username (ie. aderuiter NOT aderuiter@pomfret.org) and password. You can also retrieve a print job at any time if you don't have your card by entering your username and password.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. Check the Display: Follow any troubleshooting prompts on the printer’s display.

2. Gather Information:

    Printer Location (e.g. Faculty Room, Centennial, OSU)

    Error Message (if any)

    Time of incident

3. Contact IT and provide the above information
