Disconnecting the Magic Mouse

  1. Open Bluetooth Settings:
    • Click on the Apple menu in the top left corner of your screen.
    • Select System Settings (or System Preferences depending on your macOS version).
    • Click on Bluetooth in the sidebar.
  2. Disconnect the Mouse:
    • Locate your Magic Mouse in the list of connected devices.
    • Hover over the Magic Mouse entry and click on the Disconnect button that appears.
  3. Turn Off the Mouse:
    • Flip the Magic Mouse over and slide the switch to the off position (no green should be visible).

Re-pairing the Magic Mouse

  1. Turn On the Mouse:
    • Flip the Magic Mouse back over and slide the switch to the on position (green should be visible).
  2. Reconnect the Mouse:
    • In the Bluetooth settings on your Mac, wait for the Magic Mouse to appear in the list of devices.
    • Click on the Connect button next to the Magic Mouse to re-establish the connection.
  3. Test the Mouse:
    • Move the mouse to ensure it is functioning properly with your Mac.
