General Notes

  • Most uses do not require any changes to the equipment rack.

  • To access the north TV, lift the picture straight up and out (it is secured with Velcro).

  • For the fireplace projector: press the ON button located under the TV to activate it before following other steps.

  • The Apple TV remote is not always required—you can control the system using an iPhone if needed.

Lowering the Projector Screen

  1. Locate the extension pole (next to the fireplace on the right).

  2. Extend the pole to reach the projector screen.

  3. Use the hook on the end of the pole to latch onto the zip tie located under the screen.

  4. Gently pull down until the screen is fully extended.

Watching Streaming TV

  1. Locate the “Lodge TV” remote (if available).

  2. Press any button on the remote to wake the system. This will turn on both the Apple TV and the display.

  3. Navigate to the YouTube TV app.

  4. Open the app to view the live channel guide and select programming.

If the remote is not available (iPhone option):

  1. Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Apple TV.

  2. Open Control Center (swipe down from the top-right of your screen).

  3. Tap the Apple TV Remote icon.

    • If you don’t see it:

      • Go to Settings → Control Center

      • Add Apple TV Remote to your controls

  4. Select Lodge TV or Lodge Projector when prompted.

  5. Use your iPhone as the remote to navigate and open apps like YouTube TV.

Presenting from a Laptop

Option A: Wireless (AirPlay)

  1. Turn on the display:

    • For the TV: wake the Apple TV (remote or iPhone).

    • For the projector: press the ON button under the TV and select Apple TV.

  2. On your Mac, open System Settings → Displays.

  3. Select AirPlay Display and choose either:

    • Lodge TV

    • Lodge Projector


Option B: Wired (HDMI)

  1. Press the ON button under the TV and select HDMI as the input.

  2. Connect the HDMI cable:

    • One end into the wall or equipment input

    • The other into your laptop (or adapter if needed)

Playing Music from a Device

  1. Locate the AUX cable on the equipment rack table.

  2. Plug the cable into your device (phone, tablet, or laptop).

  3. Adjust volume carefully:

    • Keep your device volume below ~25% to avoid excessive loudness or potential system damage.

Microphone Use

  • Please submit a Brightly request in advance for any event requiring microphones.


Conference Phone Use

  • Please submit a Brightly request prior to your event to use the conference phone.
